Ahhhh, Melissa. I wasn't conscious of the fact that I couldn't understand a word she was saying, it didn't seem to matter, and there was this sense of communication at a, uh, shall we say, more primal level.

Which makes me wonder: Has anyone ever polled her audience after a newscast to see if they remember one word she said? Seriously, if anyone does pay attention to what Melissa says, there is a face that could launch a thousand ships...or a thousand riots. Charisma like that has the potential to move the world, for better or worse.

I would't want you to think I'm getting silly about a pretty face. American TV leads the world in pretty meat puppets, so that alone isn't going to knock me over. It's that indefinable, arresting, presence, that stands out so vividly. If Melissa chooses to go into politics, the world should watch out.
