I've speculated that an online community is theoretically immortal, and could easily outlive its founders. I just never thought of it as a literal vehicle for immortality. But you got it, down through the centuries the faithful surviving Zoners and their descendents will guard the Fund and preserve the dream of The Resurrection of the Founders. Our worthy butts, that is.
Sounds like a much safer deal then setting up a trust fund to gather dust in a drawer somewhere. It's like the old stories (Heinlein?) about a priesthood to guard the nuclear waste for thousands of years. Somebody's gotta mind the store, or the trillions of bucks those guys promise will mysteriously disappear somewhere along the way.
