Paul may very well be right, but I think I anticipated all of his remarks and I still don't think they explained the sighting. I simply can't see how an accidental reflection off a polished metal panel can be seen twenty thousand miles away with the naked eye. These guys were bright, between 0 and 1st magnitude. Anybody else got any ideas?
