Computers
Just thinking about Tom's posta while ago.... My first computer (besides my Sinclair ZX-81) was a Tandy 1000, 64K RAM, eventually got a whopping 10Mb hard drive - cost $2300 including a fancy dot-matrix printer. A cheap new car then might have cost $6000 - top speed 95 mph, say 100 cu ft interior space, maybe a towing capacity of 1000 pounds. If cars had improved as much as computers, you would now be able to buy one for $2000, it would have an interior space (RAM) of 80,000 cu ft (a football field 1-1/2 ft deep), a towing capacity (HDD) of 10,000 tons (about 100 loaded 747s) and a top speed of Mach 125.
