If NASA were not a jobs program, would it have congressional support?
If congress were not supporting NASA, what would?
It's questions like that that need to be asked.
People are probably more interested in jobs and their opportunities than in looking at moons between Saturn's rings.
Private companies have not been able to put humans in low earth orbit yet, and it always turns out to be more complex than what they thought it would cost when they advertized their projects.
