Stargazers Identifying Scope
This scope allows children (and adults) to view the night sky, quickly and easily identifying up to 35 major stars and 60 constellations at any time of the year. A clear microfiche insert, imprinted with a computer-generated star map, snaps in behind the scopes front lens. By adjusting the settings to the correct date, time and latitude, then peering through the transparent map, stars can be quickly identified. Comes complete with four latitude adapters. 6-3/8" L.
This looks interesting to me. Perhaps I just don't have the time or patience to be a stargazer. Everytime I take my scope out I have such a hard time finding anything. This little scope may give me just the handicap I need without resorting to a scope that finds stars on its own. At 39.95 the price is reasonable. Hmmm, there is Father's Day coming up.
Anybody ever try one?
