English 101:
Better:
"Drivers along a busy Fort Worth street on Friday were stopped at a police roadblock and asked for samples of their breath, saliva and even blood. If they agreed to this, they were then directed into a parking lot, where the samples were collected by federal contractors."
That first paragraph is such a minefield.
