Paranoia?
The IRS attacks political enemies, the NSA taps everything down to tin-can phones, laws control every aspect of our lives at the most trivial levels, and there's a political party whose dearest ambition is centralized control over health care, the energy industry, and everything else. That's just off the top of my head. I could come up with a more extensive list.
Dude, a person isn't paranoid about buffalo attacks if he's actually in the middle of a buffalo stampede.
Given the current environment, it's the person who has no concern about too much government power that's not playing with a full deck.
