re: Memorial Day
I spent Memorial Day with my friend Jimmy, who is back from Iraq after a tour of duty. He is in the Texas National Guard, so he may be sent to protect our boarders- at least he would be close to home.
I have a cousin in the Air Force who flies helicopters. He was in Afghanistan, but now he is in Iraq. He is 3rd generation Air Force.
I found out last month my High School girlfriend is going to Afghanistan. She is in the Air Force. She was such a rebel against authority in High School. I never would have dreamed her going into the military shortly thereafter.
