Clash of Civilizations
The scary part of this story, and others, is that the suspects are Muslim but not necessarily Arab. I had hoped that the terrorist phenomenon was a result of Arab nationalism (which historically, often periodically manifests itself as jihadism) than as a more general Muslim movement. Although I still believe that most Muslims (and most Arabs, for that matter) are not sympathetic to terrorist goals and methods, my original suspicions that this is a "clash of civilizations" phenomenon are becoming more realistic. This is not good news.
