1. Zarqawi was betrayed by other Al Qaeda members for cash.
2. A huge cache of information was discovered. As leader, he had the names and location of just about every member of Al Qaeda in Iraq.
3. Arrests are being done hurriedly before this information becomes "stale".

This may well mark the beginning of the end of Al Qaeda, just as the death of Che Guevara marked the beginning of the end of his revolution in South America.
