re: Lux Aeterna
believe me, he is widely known by those who follow 20th century 'classical' music - one of the few post war greats. For instance, his cello concerto is amazing to listen to. Very sad news.
(the Lux Aeterna is incredible, although can you imagine hearing it in a concert hall, PRE-Kubrick? that's how hard it can be to understand the modernist music on its own. Kubrick did a great service to many different kinds of music - 'the Blue Danube' will never be the same again, it is no longer just a 19th century Viennese waltz)
