Stalingrad and N. Africa
It's interesting to see how public opinion changed under the influence of these two events. Stalingrad in particular, was the turning point. The war was decided in Russia, Africa and Europe were sideshows.
Not so in the Pacific, but the turning poing there came earlier, at Midway.
