Guesscience

Guessing + Science =Guesscience.

Whenever I see folks talking about global temperatures pre 1800, I know all the have to go on is almanacs which recorded temperatures in a few major cities of the day and core samples and other unbelievably flaky interpretive data.

Its wonderful for these folks that the general public don't even bother to think about how these "experts" get their data and release their guesscience. They just swallow it all without thinking.

To be quite honest, science can't accurately tell just how much heat the world has NOW - much less even than 50 years ago. The technology is just not there yet. Movement of heat through the atmosphere and even realtime satellite and ground station reading only provide, at best, a general picture of the surface temperatures.

It's all a big pile of utterly worthless guesscience, presented with authority by folks with an agenda.

All science involves a certain percentage of speculation, but this stuff is 99% guess and 1% science. It's a farce.
