The "stolen Sidekick" story finally closes.
Ever since Tom posted a link to this on June 9 or so, I've been following this. The NYT article (!!!) reporting a brief history of the incident can be found here. (Free NYT registration may be required.)
It's all over but the eBay auction of the original Sidekick, and Evan Guttman's possible appearance on Good Morning America next week.
What I found most fascinating was the impatience of the audience. Real time moves so much more slowly, especially that part of it tied up with bureaucracy, than time in the virtual world. Some posters on the forum connected to the Stolen Sidekick website seemed not to realize that agencies and offices actually close at 5 and don't reopen until the following morning.
