I bet his next show's ratings will rise to new heights...

The owner of the gun shop where I used to buy my ammo was a big Limbaugh fan, he was also violently opposed to "the gummint sending all our jobs and factories overseas". Yeah, I know it doesn't make sense but it was obviously the only way he could simultaneously reconcile two contradictory ideas. When I learned that Rush did a show defending the outsourcing of jobs I made it a point the next time I dropped in to ask him about it. I obviously hit a nerve, because he just scowled and snapped back "Somebody got to him."

The fate of Rush Limbaugh, one way or the other, will do nothing to change the nature of the schism dividing this country right now. It has to do with two different ways of viewing reality and defining the relationship between man and the state. It's a conflict which has divided every democracy since the time of Thucydides: the rabble vs the oligarchy.
