I'm struggling with what to use in my next generation computer, and have been intrigued by the new Intel 65 nm dual core processors (5100 series, I think). Dang, for a while I thought the Opterons were a slam-dunk.

Intel has barely got the 65 nm tech out the door and they are already experimenting with 45 nm tech (!) and have produced test SRAM chips with a billion transistors on each. 153 Mbit per chip. Holy catfish...

I still have my first AboveBoard AT memory card. Same footprint as a shoebox, with piggyback card attached. Covered with chips, and held a total of 2 MB
