The “targeting” you state for military service is not there, SDAI. It’s just a job, and at times the only one around for the kids who apply. If you don’t want young, destitute enlistees, then perhaps you should work to start up businesses in their communities. Get them a job. A real job, with career potential. Just because the military is canvassing for recruits does not mean they’re targeting anyone at all. A recruiting office can be found in every major city, and it’s open every day, working hard to accept all comers. All comers, SDAI. Now, how can they be more diverse than that?
You wanna change who gets recruited? Offer the disadvantaged non-military-affiliated choices with guaranteed annual pay-raises, then we can discuss who is being unfair to whom.
