Space/Science » in reply to Rethinking Venus' Volcanoes

Just a variant on the theme

These researchers still require a significant rate of volcanism at 1 Ga and a subsequent "quite time". They differ in having a slower ramping-down of the activity, but that doesn't change the concept of an earlier volcanic acme, nor change the evidence that the present-day rate of volcanism does not appear adequate to cool the interior of the planet - hence suggesting a future volcanic pulse or crustal turnover.

In short, it's a detail, not a foundation.
