What if Israel ceased to exist?

No one seems to be considering what might happenif Israel is dissolved as a nation. It might just happen, It matters little how often Israel prevails in her conflicts with her neighbors. She will only have the opportunity to lose once.

In the event Israel is militarily defeated, and is forced to to accept a humiliating and devastating peace, or worse, is invaded and occupied, perhaps even dismantled as a country, what will happen? In even the least horrific of these scenarios, there would be a massive emigration from that country. There are approximately 3 or 4 million Jewish Israelis, and with no adjoining country willing to take them, they will have to travel, or be evacuated by air and sea. The Europeans want no part of them, they've been anti-Semitic for centuries. You know the only place in the world which will be able, or willing to have them.

Only several hundred thousand Cubans left that island after Castro took power, and their impact on American, particularly, Florida life has been enormous. Like the Cubans, most of the Israeli immigrants will be culturally assimilable, and they will be educated, possess a strong work ethic, speak some English, and have family and cultural support systems in place when they get here, not to mention government assistance. But the sheer numbers, and the short time in which they will all be arriving, will put great strains on the society. And like all immigrant communities who have been exiled through violence, they will be extremely politically active, in both legitimate and clandestine ways.
