Victor Davis Hanson thinks we are winning:
"So after 9/11, the London bombings, the Madrid murders, the French riots, the Beslan atrocities, the killings in India, the Danish cartoon debacle, Theo Van Gogh, and the daily arrests of Islamic terrorists trying to blow up, behead, or shoot innocent people around the globe, the world is sick of the jihadist ilk. And for all the efforts of the BBC, Reuters, Western academics, and the horde of appeasers and apologists that usually bail these terrorist killers out when their rhetoric finally outruns their muscle, this time they can’t."

The jihadists have out wore any welcome they have enjoyed- everyone seems to be getting a bit tired of them still breathing.
Ralph Peters, thinks "ISRAEL is losing this war":
"A U.S. government official put it to me this way: "Israel's got the clock, but Hezbollah's got the time." The sands of the hourglass favor the terrorists - every day they hold out and drop more rockets on Israel, Hezbollah scores a propaganda win."

Mr Peters says he is pro-Israeli [and I don't doubt him] and lays out why Israel is losing and what Israel needs to win. Not sure I agree with him. He seems to think Israel Intelligence has failed, but at least they don't a NYT giving out state secrets. And it's hard to know if intelligence has failed- a successful intel will keep secrets. But if Hezbollah does actually have the time, then of course Israel will of course lose.
It seems to me that we can't know at this point and I think Israel should still focus on bombing from the air. It seems Hezbollah has spent a fair amount of effort preparing against a ground assualt, but have no defense against an air attack.
Meanwhile, it seems the UN force in there has been less than useless, and should be pull out.
A Strange War
