Space/Science » in reply to Maybe they are giant amoeba-like slime creatures oozing around on the surface

The big question is...

What could survive on a world where the global temperature averages
300 degrees below zero F and the place is made up mostly of methane
and ethane, with an atmosphere full of nitrogen?

like Mars, maybe if Titan wasn't always like it is now (meaning a bit
more Earthlike), something could have started that learned to adapt
to the changing conditions.

But if Titan has always been like it is now, could any kind of life even
get started there?

And let's suppose that somehow life from another moon or world hitched
a ride on a meteor or field to Titan - how could they survive on a world
they were not originally meant for?
