The museum itself was a big disappointment. It appears that just about anyone can set up a few mediocre exhibits of sexual paraphernalia, old video clips of purported "historical" interest, and a long, boring, overstated exhibit on four centuries of Japanese graphic pornography, call it a "museum" and charge $15 admission. What a waste of money.

If any visitor to NYC wants to explore far more interesting sexual exhibits, films, erotica, accessories, etc. there are much better shops further south in the Village.
