re: Heliospheric Response to Different Possible Interstellar Environments
Is there any plausible way to detect the history of such phenomena? Like some method of tracking the Sun's path through space, and measuring density of gases along that track (maybe by measuring starlight coming through them or something)?
Or analyzing core samples from the Moon or something, like Antarctic ice cores, to detect particle levels?
Don't know if any of this is feasible. There could be climate issues here.
