And of course Israeli soldiers sometimes make mistakes. No one's perfect, and when face with a ruthless, fascist enemy who hides among the civilian population, sometimes those civilians get hurt, or get killed. It's a terrible shame that Islamic terrorists insist on, and hope for, these tragic outcomes.

The soldiers wouldn't be blasting their way into civilians' homes if (1) they didn't in fact frequently find weapons and bombs in those homes, and (2) the Palestinians had been reasonable in the past (e.g. Camp David in 2000) and worked for a final negotiated peace settlement with Israel, instead of choosing to commit more and more acts of terrorism.

An important point to remember, as clearly demonstrated by recent events in both Lebanon and Gaza, it's the terrorism that causes the occupation, not the other way around.
