Yeah, but the music of the 60s was genuinely subversive, even if in the long run it changed the world very little. Today's music is just evil, and I fear it will have a more lasting influence. Perhaps the difference is that
the 60s music, however excessive and adolescent and even naive, was essentially moral. When I listen to some of today's tunes I find myself staring at the abyss.
But, as you point out, at one time the waltz was considered scandalous.
