Caught something like that once on a political radio talk show.

The guy pretty much said that sending humans to Mars was a waste
of money, that it would be better spent on Earth, and all the usual
ignorant, emotion-based responses that space utilization gets all the
time from the general public.

Then he quickly added how much he really likes Star Trek and Star Wars,
but that we shouldn't be spending money on real space exploration at
this time.

Then his program ended so no one would have been able to comment on
his remarks on air.

There's a reason most talk about space and astronomy is rarely ever
found on the radio beyond Art Bell's Coast to Coast, and most of that
is pseudoscience. But the Internet could change that.
