Not as cool as a clipper ship...
...but a lot easier to operate, I bet.
If you expand the diagram that explains their balancing of "heeling force" with "lifting force" isn't there an error? It seems to me that in order to impart no torque on the ship then the line attaching the kite to the ship should intersect the ship's center of gravity.
Anyway, it is a very cool project.
