Question - as asked above, how does an unarmed people resist ethnic cleansing by a well-armed nation which is protected politically by the world's only superpower?

Israel is not protecting itself. Befor 2000, Israel was killing 24 Palestinians for every Israeli lost. 24 - 1. That's slaughter, not "protection".

What's the Ph. D. in, anyway?
