Lost / I-tunes collusion

I never got into Season 1 of Lost. Not because I didn't want to, but I was so busy that year and I had missed the first few episodes. I did see 1 and liked it, but wasn't ready to commit the time to it.

A friend of mine got a hole of the Season 1 DVD's back in June and we (my wife and as well as he and his wife) watched them all in the space of about 2 weeks. We were hooked. As Season 2 started rerun season, we figured it would be a good way to catch up before Season 3 hit. We don't have a DVR, but my friend does in case the VCR method fails us. The plan worked great for a couple of weeks, but then ABC suddenly quit airing the reruns. The TV Guide website would show Lost for a 2 hour block on Wednesdays until sometime during the day they changed it to 2 hours of George Lopez or some other lousy program. I thought maybe they were just cutting Gorge Lopez a break, but week after week they kept doing the same thing. Since the Season 2 DVD doesn't come out until after Season 3 starts airing, we have no way of catching up in time unless we buy the shows on I-tunes. That gets pretty spendy for us to get caught up on a tv show, so we are just going to have to wait for the DVD and copy all the season 3' as they come out.

I was mentioning this to a friend and he pointed out an interesting connection. ABC is owned by Disney. Steve Jobs owns the lion's share of Disney stock. Steve Jobs owns I-tunes. So is Steve Jobs killing the Lost reruns in order to promote I-tunes?
