Survive, not thrive

Hi Bob

Leucine metabolism at -196 C was only a few molecules in a few hours. Very, very slow. But it does make active life at say -50 C in an ammonia water-mix seem somewhat more viable. What would be an even bigger boost would be to screen for bugs that can live in an ammonia-water mix, which is the most likely habitat under Titan's crust, and elsewhere. The minimum metabolism calculations are interesting, and makes me wonder how that can be applied to cryogenics efforts.
