Who says they have to be super-huge in this scenario? Or the star for that
matter? Just oen situation of a super Jovian with even a white dwarf will do.

What about brown dwarfs? Are they weak stars or really big planets? Some
of them are being found with worlds circling them. Are they planets or moons?
