But ain't it peculiar.........

when we look at all the Republican angst, outrage and furor over them thar al Qaida terrorist? Ah mean, how come we didn't have this WWIII talk about the blatant terrorism of the Klu Klux Klan? Could it possibly be the former Klansmen are the same people so involved with all them thar furren terrorist?

The terrorism of the Aryan Nation seems to be forgotten. The Latin Kings' turf war murders are hardly ever mentioned. La Raza unknown to the O'Reilly factor. Apparently the fashion is simply to focus on "them furren terrorist" and refuse to recognize our own home grown variety. Then again, it might not just be a fashion so much as the service of a political agenda.

Perhaps we should all come to grips that "terrorism" has become an international industry presently led by Arab Muslims, figureheaded by a 6'5" millionaire on dialysis. As I write this, the Brits have just lowered thier terror alert and it is interesting to note the alert concerned packies and not the IRA. I find it amazing that this Republican administration has sold the world that terrorism is new, and that Islam invented it on 9/11. Today, Hezbollah is on everyone's mind, and no memory exists of Black September. Where Carlos the Jackal was recognized as a criminal, millions view bin-Ladin as a hero. Where the world expressed profoundest empathy for the tragedy of World Trade Center, large numbers take to the street in Syria. Iran and elsewhere to cheer the inhuman shelling of Israel by Hezbollah.

Terrorism is a theatre of the weak. Terrorism exists to get media notice and draw attention to politically weak positions. Through amazingly weak leadership the Bush administration has failed to articulate a leadership position that can trump something so weak, inept, and impotent as a 17th century sterile political philosophy. Under the Bush leadership and the astute guidance of his Eminence Gris, Rove the American public has been hostage to a grouping that was originally smaller than the Mafia and one that lacked the Mafia's ability to organize. What does this say about Republican leadership?
