" - - - then there was." Interesting.

It seems to me the Old Testament is a legitimate platform upon which a religion can be constructed, as Judaism has been.

And the Old Testament is at best history without regard to details, meant to be regarded as instructive and not particularly factually.

It seems to me.

Now, if you would like a real hoot, read the Book of Mormon.

(I was at the Temple in Salt Lake City a few years ago reading a plaque on a wall. A comely young missionary came along and asked if the plaque was interesting. "Very", I said. "Do you know much about our religion", she asked. "I've read The Book of Mormon," I truthfully replied. "What did you think of it?" Pause. "Uhh, it was a stretch." No more talk about religion as she showed us around.)

Didn't know that about the mountain, though. Liked the quote from the song. Donovan.
