I was impressed by his coolness under fire, the consistency of his story, and his ability to think on his feet..
He said everything I wanted to hear, whether he was telling the truth or not I do not know.
I'm inclined to take him at his word until further facts tell me otherwise. He has a reputation as a thug and a bully, but how much of that is slander from his political enemies on both left and right I do not know.
He did fire and disgrace two of his aides, ruining their careers. If they really have anything on him they will no doubt use it against him just to save their own ass. I hear one of them already took the Fifth.
