"Xena" Needs A Real Name
I think you are right that anything done now will eventually be challenged by extrasolar data. Some anticipation of this is why the original definition was such that Charon got promoted to planet status. They wanted to meet the challenge of a seemingly obvious double planet elsewhere. However we need a definition now to give "Xena" a name. Do we name it as a planet (IAU decides) or as a standard KBO (discoverer decides). UB whatever and Xena are not appropriate to teach children for years to come.
