And can point out that it means Neptune is not a planet, the scientists have a real credibility problem. That's why this issue matters. It's a black eye on science. It's ludicrous, poorly thought out, and obviously skewed by personal bias. If scientists can be so obviously wrong why should anyone bother with such "ridiculous" concepts as evolution?
