Hard to see how Iran can be denied the ability to generate nuclear power even if the same capacity could eventually lead to nuclear weapons. There is a lot of nuclear power generation in the world, though not much in the Good Ol' USA, where GWB loves the oil folks.

Thanks to the US protecting Israel, ensuring they could make nuclear weapons, the Middle East ain't pristine.

Iran's_nuclear_program
"The Iranian government asserts that the programme's only goal is to develop the capacity for peaceful nuclear power generation."

And that great military dictatorship and proven nuclear proliferator, those great friends of GWB and conservatives, well, they're going gung-ho without a peep. Whatcha wanna bet some of those bombs could be for sale.

Pakistan Expanding Nuclear Program
"Plant Underway Could Generate Plutonium for 40 to 50 Bombs a Year, Analysts Say."

Go figure.
