re: Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin Dead at Age 44
How sad. Although I often felt his style was a bit over the top, I recognized his enthusiasm for, and the value of, his work. He was a wonderful ambassador for his country, a protector of wildlife, and brought entertainment and education to millions. According to the report I read, his death was the result of an unavoidable accident, not any alleged reckless behavior on his part, but that is irrelevant. My heart goes out to his countrymen and his lovely family and I hope they take comfort that he died doing what he loved. No man can ask for more than that. He will be missed.
