As I understand it the Iranian's cannot initiate a war for the return of the 12th Imam(Mahdi)but can only retaliate against the oppressors and nonbelievers for the End of Times to begin. That's why the general said a conflict with the US is the 'strongest dream' of the faithful. It's only when a conflict started by another country can the Mahdi return to rule the world with Shia Law.

The Iranian leaders already believe that the End of Times theology has been set in motion and have called for preparation of war, but I doubt the US will fulfill their dreams of war with us in the near future.

And with that said is there a solution other than submission to their radical thinking and way of life?

I guess never going to war with Iran might be one, but that would end their hopes of the destruction of the US and Israel.
