As compared to this governments subsidy of the Everglades sugar growers. This fiasco had two note worthy consequences, 1) despoiling vast areas of the sea of grass; and, 2) a comical Republican attempt to manipulate the world market in sugar (Sorta like Nelson Bunker Hunt with the silver market).
The money spent on Radio Marti was originally to fund a life for the ordained successor to Castro, Bosch. Only thing is that Castro outlived him. However, the tap was open and the funds continued flowing.
