re: Arctic ice 'melting from below'

"Professor Wadhams thinks the Arctic could be virtually ice-free during the summer by about 2080.

He told BBC News Online: "The north-east passage across the top of Siberia is already close to becoming commercially viable. "

Idiot drooling. There is no evidence that arctic will be ice free by 2080. And there is nothing new about water melting ice. And Siberia or north west passage has *always* been close to being commerically viable.
BUT I wish global temperature would increase so that the Arctic was ice free in the Summer- but even if one summer were to be ice free in next 100 years in the winter it would freeze over again and it wouldn't have any significant affect on anything- including the friggin polar bears. A ice free arctic in the summer would fantastic news for global wearming idiots, but it's not going to happen- but suppose it's something they can vainly hope for before the time they will be pushing up tulips.
