Alcaray’s point is that if a Democrat had done the same thing, us Republicans would be screaming treason. He is pointing out a double standard. Some Republicans probably would and some would not.
Say a Republican and a Democrat did the exact same thing. If a Republican screamed treason at the Democrat, but not the Republican then they would be hypocrites. However, if they said both were traitors or both were not traitors, then they would not be showing bias based on political leanings.
I see doubled standard on both sides of the political line. Neither party is innocent from it. But hey, that is the political game.
