Even as an amateur physicist I can see that the authors muddled up their understanding of the 'Many Worlds' theory and the cosmological 'Multiverse' - two different things. The 'Many Worlds' of quantum theory don't differ in physical laws, but the 'Many Cosmoi' of a 'Multiverse' are believed to vary in fundamental parameters, yet the authors equate the two. That's just one of many errors.
