The traditions and rituals surrounding a russian manned spaceflight makes you think of this:
At launch, moods are sober, serious, kind of like in a hospital (quarantine and white clothes)..There's a ritual to follow , the previous cosmonauts to honor...and finally the crew goes to heaven.....

A lot like death.....

Then, when the spacecraft lands and the crew gets out from the lifesaving descent module, just like a baby being born, it is a lot like a birth!.........

The spacemen and women come back, facing another kind of life, a life where they have been up there, transformed by their experience and perhaps also a frustrating life when they wonder what better thing they can do and how they are going to explain what it was like, up there. But they had done it!
