With the canted wings and kick ass arms, along with P-51 and the FORKED TAIL DEVIL, they gave us the edge. Story from an Polish Old Timer who was in Nazi Work farm said he fed US Airmen who were shot down, could'nt talk to them but another plane (P-38?) would strafe rail cars each day that were near siding fields and they would dive into hay bales just to take cover...wild
