But I have written 6 or 8 (batches of) letters to my various Executive, Representative, and Senatorial reps in the last year. This is something I've done habitually since I was 18 (with a few years-long dry periods where I lost interest). About half of these activist letters are about space. In the last couple of years, the majority of my letters were about political events (other than space) that I wanted to encourage/discourage.
There are some cool tools on the net now to generate a series of emails to your reps. They say that emails are not regarded as seriously as snailmails, though.
