I'm curious. Anyone know what Mexico does with illegal immigrants?

Suppose I slipped over the border into Mexico, wander around Mexico City for a while, and get picked up in the Zocalo with no visa. And little ID.

Would they give me a ticket back to the US? Throw me in the slam with a low, medium, or high bail? Anyone have more than a hunch?
