The number of attacks is in sharp contrast to Bush & Co. playing down the violence. The "old news" is that Bush is still lying.

Second, there's a lag time in publishing books.

Third, who in their right mind will believe the DoD?

Iraq is completely out of control. How do they expect to install a government if the capital isn't even save? A puppet government which would collapse immediately if half of the US troops were withdrawn. A govenment which can't govern.
