Tom, you just can't defend it any more. They don't deserve you.

There are other ways to fight terrorism than killing everyone in sight. One could go for hearts and minds, while, patiently, killing terrorists. Not their neighbors, not their friends, children, mothers and fathers. Kill terrorists. Wipe 'em out, don't practice "starfish" tactics, the way Bush & Co. have.

Israel, with an eye toward extermination through killing or emmigration, has been doing that for damn near 60 years. What does it take to learn a lesson?

Kill terrorists. Don't invade a nation of 23 million Iraqis because of what 16 Saudis did. And kill a substantial portion of those innocents.

And it's not going well over there. It's a disaster. On the basis of new information you CAN change your mind. You CAN adapt to reality.

The "why's" can come later. It's what IS that's got to be reckoned with, and doing the same thing over and over expecting different results is a definition of insanity.

It's no shame to adapt to reality. It is a shame to cling to unreality because it's more comfortable. Very dangerous to live in illusions if one is to function in a real world.
